Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, and other leaders may appeal to vote on social media. However, the reality is that there has been a decrease in the voting percentage in the seats of these stalwarts in these elections.

CM Gehlot’s Sardarpura Assembly seat had 66.22 per cent voting in 2018, while this time it has decreased to 65.68 per cent. This indicates that there has been a reduction of 0.54 per cent as compared to the previous voting. Meanwhile, on Vasundhara Raje’s Jhalrapatan Assembly seat, there was 77.67 per cent voting this time, which is 0.26 per cent less than the last time. On the other hand, on the Amer seat of former BJP state president and opposition leader Satish Poonia, there was 80.29 per cent voting last time, while this time only 77.56 per cent voting took place. In comparison to last year, this time there is a decrease of 2.73 per cent in Poonia’s area.

This time, there has been an increase in the voting percentage on 117 seats out of 199 assembly seats compared to the last election. However, there are 82 assembly seats where voting has decreased compared to the last time. Although there has been voting on assembly seats that are fiercely contested and polarized. Many seats like Taranagar, Laxmangarh, Shiv, Tijara, Baseri, Sawai Madhopur, Hawa Mahal, Mandal, Khandela, etc., have seen more voting than the last time. Voting has increased on the seats of 52 Congress MLAs, while it has decreased on 46 seats. There are 8 assembly seats where voting has decreased by 3 to 4 per cent. These include seats like Sangaria, Luni, Anupgarh, Fatehpur, Nagaur, Kaman, Surajgarh, and Shergarh.
