Several candidates met with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at his residence on Friday, both before and after the election results. They spent a considerable amount of time discussing the election and the possible outcomes of the exit polls. During their meeting, the Chief Minister shared peaceful moments with everyone and had a discussion over tea. The candidates also provided feedback on the election, and the Chief Minister took note of their opinions.
The Chief Minister stated that once again, a Congress government is about to be formed in Rajasthan. He also extended advance congratulations to the candidates for their victory.
Several leaders met with the Chief Minister, including Vidhan Sabha Speaker CP Joshi, Minister Mamta Bhupesh, Congress candidate from Kekadi Raghusharma, Congress candidate from Malviya Nagar Archana Sharma, candidate for Chomu Dr. Shikha Barala, as well as candidates Suresh Modi and Sitaram Agarwal.
Govind Singh Dotasra, the President of the Pradesh Congress Committee, expressed his opinion regarding the exit poll survey. He said that he believes that the survey’s predictions are inaccurate and that the Congress party will win more seats than indicated. Dotasra is confident about forming a government with a full majority. He also added that the independent and other MLAs were with the party last time, and they have observed their performance and behaviour. Therefore, they are optimistic about forming the government again.
Out of the five exit polls conducted for the state elections, three of them predicted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as the clear winner, while two other exit polls showed the Indian National Congress (INC) leading in the race to form the next government in the state. These predictions have created a sense of anticipation and excitement amongst the citizens of the state, and the final results will determine the future course of the state’s political landscape.
According to the exit poll predictions, the role of smaller parties and independent candidates will be crucial in the formation of the government when the results are announced on December 3. The Rajasthan assembly elections were held on November 25 for 199 out of 200 seats. To counter the BJP’s challenge, the Congress government in the state, led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, introduced a series of populist schemes closer to the election.
