In Rajasthan, the government is now in action mode against those involved in irregularities in recruitment exams. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has directed robust arrangements to stop discrepancies in recruitment. Consequently, the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police (DG) will now monitor recruitment exams. Before the exams, direct communication will be established from the Chief Secretary and DG level to the district collector and police superintendent, and all necessary arrangements will be made. The Chief Minister has directed the deployment of sufficient officers and police forces in districts for monitoring examination centers.
In a high-level meeting regarding exams, the Chief Minister said that information about suspicious activities at exam centres and coaching institutes should be closely monitored. Rigorous legal action should be taken in cases of suspicion, and a strict trial will be conducted through the Case Officer Scheme and the Special Public Prosecutor. The Chief Minister also emphasized the need to develop an information system to identify individuals involved in such irregularities. The Anti-Corruption Helpline number 9530429258 has been issued by the SIT for information related to common people regarding fraud.
Ensuring justice for youth is the government’s priority
The Chief Minister stated that ensuring justice for unemployed and hardworking youth and maintaining confidentiality in exams is the state government’s top priority. Effective investigation of cases related to cheating will help bring stringent punishment to the offenders. It is noteworthy that recently, in the Senior Lecturer (Secondary Education) competitive exam 2022 conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), five accused individuals who appeared as dummy candidates were arrested.
Present at the meeting were Director General of Police Umesh Mishra, Additional Chief Secretary of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Abhay Kumar, Principal Secretary, Governance, Home Anand Kumar, Principal Secretary, Governance, Personnel Hemant Gera, ADG Crime Dinesh MN, and ADG Technical VK Singh.
