After taking the oath of the Deputy Chief Minister’s post, Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa reached the secretariat. They assumed office in the main building of the secretariat. During this, Diya Kumari touched the feet of former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and sought her blessings. To administer the oath of office to Diya, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, along with the party’s state president CP Joshi, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, and senior leader Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, including Central Minister, were present. It is worth mentioning that Diya Kumari will sit in the room of the main building where former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot used to sit.
Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa will sit in the room of former Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas. Bairwa also took charge in his office around 2:15 pm. During this, he said, “The plans of the Gehlot government were only for show and were only plans to change names. The public trusts PM Modi’s guarantee. We will take the schemes of the Modi government to the grassroots.” He added, “We will work on taking those schemes to the last mile and at the ground level on priority.” Regarding apprehensions of the previous Congress government’s schemes being discontinued, Bairwa said, “They only changed the names of the schemes. The schemes were of our Bharatiya Janata Party.” Responding to a poser on the Cabinet expansion, he said that the decision would be taken by the chief minister. The deputy chief minister also accused the former Congress government of defaming Rajasthan because the atrocities on the Dalits were on the rise.
