In a proactive operation, Border Security Force (BSF) troops in Jammu thwarted a potential threat as they intercepted drone movement in the depth area of village Manihari, PS -Rajbagh, Tehsil – Marheen, Hiranagar area Kathua. The troops engaged the drone, leading to the recovery of an improvised explosive device (IED) dropped by the unmanned aerial vehicle.
According to BSF “At approximately 00:45 AM on February 22, 2024, vigilant BSF personnel detected suspicious drone activity in the border region. Swiftly responding to the threat, they initiated fire, effectively neutralizing the advancing drone. Following the engagement, a thorough search operation was conducted in the vicinity, resulting in the discovery of an IED dropped by the drone”.
