The Bollywood film ‘Mardaani 3’ is set to commence its shooting in June 2025, wherein actress Rani Mukerji will act in the role of the fearless cop, ‘Shivani Shivaji Roy’. The eagerly awaited crime-thriller, noted for its thrilling narrative and gripping performances, is currently in the pre-production stage.
While the team is in the third section of still the shooting script. It is conducting look tests for key characters, and on the hunt for an ultimate antagonist to play. Much of the film will be shot in Mumbai and Delhi, with certain locations still undisclosed throughout India.

The Mid-Day Reports state that pre-production is underway with the script nearing its final adjustments. Casting for the lead villain is still going on to ensure that the story has the sinister antagonist it truly deserves. Principal photography locales are secured, and shooting is set to commence come June.

The stakes are reckoned to be even higher for Mardaani 3, with the actress claiming she’s got another high-power tale on her hands.

Talking about the film in 2024, Rani Mukerji said in an interview with News18: “When we set out to make Mardaani 3, we were hoping that we find a script that would take the experience of watching a Mardaani franchise film higher. I am excited about what we have at hand and I’m only hoping that the audience too feels the same after watching Mardaani 3 in theatres!”
She added, “The Mardaani franchise has a huge responsibility when it comes to expectations from our fans. It will be dark and intense and brutal for Mardaani 3, and I cannot wait.”
