Mandy Moore Hints at Comeback in ‘Princess Diaries 3’

Actress Mandy Moore has sparked excitement among fans with a recent Instagram post, hinting she might return for the much-anticipated ‘Princess Diaries 3’. To mark the 23rd anniversary of the original film, which starred Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews, Moore shared a nostalgic tribute on social media.

In her post, Moore celebrated the milestone with a series of photos from her career, including highlights from ‘A Walk to Remember’ and her current series, ‘This Is Us’. Her caption read, “And just like that, #ThePrincessDiaries turns a year older and a year sweeter! What a gift.” She then added, “And as I look through old photos, which brings back old memories, I realize how much I like the number 3.”

The mention of the number three led many fans to speculate that Moore might be teasing her involvement in the rumored third installment of the beloved franchise. This speculation intensified as fans expressed their desire to see Moore reprise her role as Lana Thomas, the memorable mean girl from the first film.

Moore’s character did not appear in the sequel, ‘The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement’, and the potential for a third film has been discussed over the years. After the passing of director Garry Marshall in 2016, the project faced delays, though interest remains high. Julie Andrews, who played Queen Clarisse Renaldi, has expressed both hope and hesitation about a new installment.

Moore has shown enthusiasm for returning to the franchise, provided her character could have a redemptive arc. “I would be down,” Moore said in a recent interview. As fans eagerly await news, Moore’s Instagram post has only intensified the buzz surrounding ‘The Princess Diaries 3’.
