Netflix and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali have come together for a modern romance ‘O Saathi Re’, featuring Aditi Rao Hydari, Arjun Rampal, and Avinash Tiwary. This series will be produced by Window Seat Films and Reliance Entertainment. It will dive into modern love, emotions, and various human dilemmas under the direction of Arif Ali. Filming starts later in October.

‘O Saathi Re’ by Imtiaz Ali
Rejoining again after the success of Amar Singh Chamkila, Imtiaz Ali is the show creator, co-writer, and also the showrunner for ‘O Saathi Re’ for Netflix. He is known for his films Rockstar, Tamasha, and Jab We Met. He will also be the Executive Producer along with Mohit Choudhary. The show will be helmed by Arif Ali, who previously directed Netflix’s She.
The much-anticipated series will star Aditi Rao Hydari, fresh from her power-packed performance in Heeramandi; Avinash Tiwary, in Sikandar Ka Muqaddar; and Arjun Rampal, who is currently enjoying the limelight after Rana Naidu Season 2. This fantastic cast has the potential to bring an enchanting yet profoundly emotional story to life.
Imtiaz Ali Remarks
Imtiaz Ali said, “O Saathi Re surprised me at every turn of its development. It is a modern story with a vintage heart, an enchanted fairy tale set in the fiasco of Metropolitan life.” He further added, “I feel both relieved and excited at having Arif direct the stellar cast of Avinash Aditi and Arjun (All Aces there) and it is the ever-strengthening relationship with Netflix that enabled us to enter the deceptively charming world of O Saathi Re.”

In addition to the above, he said, “After the success of She Season 2, we began exploring ideas for our next series together. We wanted something with an inherent musicality, perhaps inspired by a song and then Imtiaz crafted a story, called it O Saathi Re and that story moved us as profoundly as the song still does. It’s a fresh and innovative take on relationships in contemporary times.”
