Actor Allu Arjun visited KIMS Hospital in Begumpet, Hyderabad, on Tuesday to meet Sri Teja, the child who sustained severe injuries during the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre. The incident occurred during the premiere of Arjun’s highly anticipated film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The boy remains under medical care as he recovers from the injuries.

Actor’s Visit to Hospital

Videos and pictures of Allu Arjun’s hospital visit surfaced on social media, showing the actor dressed in a green sweater and black pants as he entered the premises accompanied by his team. Telangana State Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman Dil Raju was also present during the visit.

Ahead of Arjun’s visit, security at the hospital was heightened. Originally scheduled for January 5, the visit was postponed following a notice issued by the SHO of Ramgopalpet Police Station, advising the actor to keep his visit confidential to maintain public order. Necessary security arrangements were later made for the rescheduled visit.

Allu Arjun Expresses Concern

Allu Arjun previously expressed deep concern for Sri Teja, wishing him a speedy recovery. Due to ongoing legal proceedings, he had delayed his visit to the hospital but maintained close communication with the boy’s family. Arjun reiterated his commitment to supporting the family during this challenging time.

Child’s Recovery and Family Gratitude

As of December 24, 2024, Sri Teja showed signs of recovery after being unresponsive for 20 days. His father, Bhaskar, shared an emotional update, stating, “The child responded after 20 days. He is improving today. Allu Arjun and the Telangana government have been very supportive.”

Sandhya Theatre Stampede and Legal Proceedings

The stampede at Sandhya Theatre on December 4 resulted in the tragic death of a woman named Revathi and critical injuries to her eight-year-old son, Sri Teja. The incident occurred as fans crowded the theatre to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun during the premiere of Pushpa 2.

A case was filed against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management at Chikkadpally police station. Charges were brought under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following a complaint by the deceased woman’s family.

The actor was arrested on December 13 but received interim bail from the Telangana High Court on December 14. On January 3, he was granted regular bail by a city court. Allu Arjun has been listed as Accused No. 11 in the case.
