Haryana’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started working on micro-management for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The party’s Haryana unit has once again got the task from the Centre to win all ten Lok Sabha seats in the state. The BJP, which has so far held rallies in nine out of ten Lok Sabha constituencies, is slated to hold a rally in Kurukshetra on 23 July. “Tiranga Yatras” will be taken out by the party across the state in August. Apart from creating an atmosphere of patriotism through these yatras, BJP workers will also take forward the party’s election strategy.
The party has decided on its programmes for August. The decision to take out the Tiranga Yatra was taken in the meeting of a small group held in the presence of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar at the BJP office in Gurugram on Tuesday night. Apart from all MPs, Ministers and MLAs, party leaders and workers will participate in the Tiranga Yatras. State President Om Prakash Dhankhar, Organisation Minister Ravindra Raju, State General Secretary Dr Pawan Saini, Mohan Lal Badoli and Advocate Vedpal were present in the meeting, which was chaired by Haryana Affairs in-charge Biplab Kumar Dev. The party will now fix a comprehensive programme for the Tiranga Yatras.
The party plans to organise a walking tour and is also planning the logistics of tractor and bike yatras. Last year, a yatra was taken out to commemorate the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence and this time these yatras will be taken out to mark the completion of nine years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure. Several such events are being decided on for the same. Sources say that the Ram temple which is to be built in Ayodhya is also scheduled to be inaugurated next year. The party’s internal preparations for the grand inauguration have also begun. Before the inauguration of the Ram temple, yatras might be taken out in the entire state of Haryana.
A comprehensive plan for events leading up to the event is also being worked on. Here, through Tiranga Yatras, the BJP will go among the people regarding the achievements of the Centre during its nine-year tenure as well as those of the state government, its important decisions and big schemes. Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar also met PM Modi in New Delhi on Monday. He gave the PM feedback regarding all ten Lok Sabha seats in the state. Along with this, Khattar also informed PM Modi about the events to be organised in the state. Party State President Om Prakash Dhankhar has made the organisation so active that now its discussions are happening even in Delhi. The BJP has held constituency-wise rallies for the Lok Sabha. These rallies were started on 18 June by Union Home Minister Amit Shah from Sirsa. Rallies were held in nine Lok Sabha constituencies in June excluding Kurukshetra, as MP Nayab Singh Saini was ill. Because of this, the rally could not be held at the same time as the pthers. Now with Saini having made a full recovered, the Parliamentary constituency of Kurukshetra will witness a BJP rally next week.
