In the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, 39 seats have proven to be an invincible stronghold for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Among these, one seat has been with the BJP for 30 years, while 8 seats have remained in the lotus’ grasp for 20 years. Apart from this, the BJP has been undefeated in 9 assembly constituencies for 15 years and in 21 assembly constituencies for 10 years.

BJP’s firm stature in Bali
On the Bali assembly seat in Pali district, the BJP has been firmly rooted since 1993. Bhairon Singh Shekhawat led the BJP to victory in this seat in 1993. After that, Shekhawat remained victorious there even in 1998. After Bhairon Singh, Pushpendra Singh Ranawat of the BJP established such a strong dominance that no one could challenge him until 2023. Pushpendra Singh won the assembly election for the first time in 2003 on this seat and has been riding the victory chariot continuously for 20 years, and no one has been able to defeat him.

Unbeaten for twenty years:
BJP has been undefeated on 8 assembly seats for 20 years. These seats include Sanganer, Beawar, Sojat, Udaipur, Rajsamand, Ladpura, Ramganj Mandi, and Jhalrapatan. Jhalrapatan assembly seat has been invincible for Vasundhara Raje of the BJP since 2003. Vasundhara Raje is the only BJP leader who has been winning from the same seat for 20 years. The Beawar seat has been won by BJP for 20 years. In 2003, Devi Shankar won the election symbolically here with the lotus. After that, in 2008, Shankar Singh achieved victory in this seat. Shankar Singh has not looked back since then and has been winning continuously for 15 years. The Udaipur assembly seat was referred to as the impregnable fortress of the BJP’s Gulab Chand Kataria. He remained undefeated on this seat from 2003 to 2018. The party appointed him as the governor of Assam. Later, in 2023, Tara Chand Jain was fielded by the party on this seat. Jain did not disappoint the party and kept Kataria’s legacy intact.

BJP has not been defeated for fifteen years on nine seats:
The BJP has not faced defeat on 15 assembly seats in the state since 2008. These seats are Bikaner East, Vidhyadhar Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Alwar City, Ajmer North, Ajmer South, Sawai Madhopur, Asind, and Kota South. Among these, Bikaner East, Malviya Nagar, Ajmer North, and Ajmer South are such assembly seats where only one candidate has been winning since 2008. Siddhi Kumari has been successful on the Bikaner East seat continuously since 2008. In addition to her, Kali Charan Saraf has kept the lotus blooming on the Malviya Nagar seat, Vasudev Devnani has secured victory on the Ajmer North seat, and Anit Bhadel has maintained his grip on the Ajmer South seat for 15 years. Narpat Singh Rajvi has won from the Vidhyadhar Nagar seat since 2008, but the party did not give him a ticket from this seat in 2023. In his place, Diya Kumari was fielded, and she won convincingly, not disappointing the party. Hamir Singh Bhayal has been winning continuously from the Sawai Madhopur seat since 2013.
