BJP’s Champalal Gaidar unveils agro reforms for Rajasthan

Champalal Gaidar, the state president of the BJP OBC Morcha, said that with the formation of the BJP government in Rajasthan, the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) will be completed in a timely manner on the Eastern Rajasthan Canal. He added that at the same time, all irrigation projects will be completed rapidly, for which, a Chief Minister’s Irrigation Task Force will be formed.
Gaidar said, “ERCP will be expedited under the BJP government. Meanwhile, the Jal Swavalamban Abhiyan started during the previous BJP government, will be resumed, leading to an increase in the groundwater level. Under this mission, the development of 5 lakh water harvesting structures will be undertaken in 20,000 villages. With the advent of the BJP in power, farmers will have access to electricity for 8 hours, while during the Congress regime, farmers did not get electricity for more than 6 hours.” He said that under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the amount given to farmers will be increased to Rs. 12,000 annually. Interested farmers will also be given a monthly pension of Rs. 3,000 under the PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana. Gaidar, providing information about the promises of the BJP election manifesto, said, “With the advent of the BJP in power, the Rs. 20,000 crore Agro Infrastructure Mission will be launched. Under this, the construction of sorting and grading units, cold chain chambers, warehouses, and processing centres will be carried out throughout the state. Meanwhile, a bonus will be given on MSP by purchasing wheat at a minimum support price of Rs. 2,700 per quintal under MSP, and the purchase of jowar and bajra will also be done under MSP. The BJP will also establish a food promotion agency in the state. BJP will establish new benchmarks in the education sector in Rajasthan. Under this, free education will be provided to the children of small, marginal, and landless farmers and agricultural labourers in the pomegranate belt in Barmer, Jalore, and Jodhpur. A Rajasthan Agriculture Accelerator Mission will be started with an investment of Rs. 500 crore.”
