There was a strong opposition by the BJP outside the assembly premises regarding issues of employment and jobs. Inside the assembly, the situation also heated up on this matter. Following the leadership of opposition leader Jai Ram Thakur, opposition legislators walked out of the assembly. The session began with questions yesterday, but the opposition demanded a discussion on the proposal regarding employment under Rule 67. After not receiving assurance on wages, opposition lawmakers resorted to slogans and exited the assembly.

Opposition leader Jai Ram Thakur stated that the employment issue in Himachal Pradesh is highly critical. In light of this, the opposition demanded discussion by proposing a stall motion. Thakur mentioned that BJP legislators Satpal Satti, Randhir Sharma, and Vipin Singh Parmar issued a notice under Rule 67 for a stall motion, aiming to facilitate a discussion on the state’s biggest issue, unemployment. He stated that the state government has had a year, yet no youth in the state has received employment. He emphasized the seriousness of this matter during parliamentary proceedings, following which the opposition staged a dramatic protest, leading to their walkout from the assembly.
