The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, has claimed that the BJP will not come to power in five states, including Rajasthan.
On Wednesday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the feedback from the people and the atmosphere in the state indicate that the Congress will retain power. He further asserted that this time, there will be a change in tradition in Rajasthan, and the Congress government will be re-elected with a complete majority. During the occasion, Gehlot criticized the BJP for allegedly provoking people during the election campaign. According to him, PM Modi, Amit Shah, and other central leaders worked to incite the residents but their tactics did not work. As per Gehlot, the narrative of PM Modi is failing.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said, “We will win in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and we can also win in Telangana. I went to Telangana yesterday, there is a fantastic atmosphere there, the environment is changing across the country, and PM Modi’s narrative is failing.”
While Gehlot refrained from making any predictions on the number of seats the Congress could win, he expressed hope that the party will form the government again.
“I do not calculate numbers but the atmosphere, by and large, and the kind of feedback that is there, it looks like people’s mind this time is to repeat the government,” he said.
BJP has no issue other than Hindu-Muslim: CM Gehlot
CM Gehlot further stated, “Whatever decision comes on December 3, we will accept the decision of the people with humility. In a democracy, the people are the ultimate authority. We have fought the elections strongly on our plans and social security issues. The BJP had no issue other than Hindu-Muslim.”
He added, “The media is under pressure, and in Rajasthan, a clear majority for the Congress is coming, while the BJP only works to arouse religious sentiments.”
Those involved in Kanhaiya Lal’s murder were linked to the BJP: Gehlot
The BJP raised the issue of Kanhaiya Lal’s murder but those involved were linked to the saffron party, he alleged.
The veteran leader said that the Rajasthan Police caught the murder accused within two hours, however, the BJP leaders did not talk about it.
Kanhaiya Lal, a tailor, was murdered by two men in his shop in Udaipur in June 2022 over an alleged insult to Islam.
Undercurrent is prevailing in Rajasthan: Gehlot
Before heading to Delhi for Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s book launch program, CM Gehlot spoke to the media at Jaipur airport. He stated that the BJP would not be coming to power in all five states, and there is a growing undercurrent in Rajasthan. CM Gehlot also expressed his concern that the surveys that are being conducted are under pressure from individuals involved in betting.

Mallikarjun Kharge’s book launched amidst election frenzy
New Delhi: On Wednesday, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi launched a book written by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, who has been in politics for five decades amid the election atmosphere. On this occasion, the book has been presented to the public. Kharge is one of those leaders whose association with controversies has been minimal. Friends of Kharge, coming from Karnataka, are not only in Congress but also in other parties. In the event organised in honour of Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge completing 50 years, Sonia Gandhi, former President of Congress and leader of the parliamentary party, said during the book launch that Kharge has always placed the party organization above his personal interests.
