CCTV footage has emerged showing members of the Bambiha Gang, a rival group to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, firing shots at a Delhi businessman’s home. In the video, two men on a motorbike are seen standing outside the residence. After a moment, one of the men throws a note marked “Bambiha Gang” into the house before firing eight rounds.
The shooter also recorded the incident, reportedly sending the video to contacts in the United States, officials said.
The shooting occurred on October 26 in Rani Bagh, North West Delhi, around 8:40 pm. Police say the attack was linked to an extortion attempt demanding ₹15 crores from the businessman.
Acting on a tip-off, the Special Cell of Delhi Police set up a stakeout on the Kakrola drainage road near Najafgarh on the night of October 28-29. Around 2:15 am, when the suspects arrived on a bike, they attempted to flee but fell when trying to make a U-turn. During the encounter, one suspect drew a pistol and shot at the officers, prompting police to return fire, injuring one of the suspects in the leg.
Both shooters, identified as Bilal Ansari (22) and Shuheb (21), were subsequently arrested. Police recovered a semi-automatic pistol, a single-shot firearm, and six live cartridges.
