In the pursuit of strengthening the Punjab BJP at the grassroots level and disseminating awareness about various government schemes under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a strategic initiative unfolded in the village of Rurki under the “Gaon Chalo Abhiyaan” program. This orchestrated effort, organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party SC Morcha Punjab, took place on February 10 in Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib, under the discerning leadership of State Vice President Paramjit Singh Kainth and his dedicated team.

Kainth said, “the primary objective of this endeavour is twofold: firstly, to ensure the commendable performance of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Punjab during the impending 2024 Lok Sabha elections, and secondly, to foster the welfare and comprehensive development of the Scheduled Caste community under the BJP government at the national level”. Vice President Kainth emphasized the imperative to fortify the Punjab BJP at the grassroots by introducing a spectrum of schemes, echoing the vision of building a robust, self-sufficient, and prosperous society characterized by political, social, and economic equality.

Addressing the alleged slow-paced policy implementation of the Bhagwant Maan government in delivering schemes to impoverished families, particularly citing delays in Ujjwala Yojana, Swachh Bharat Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and issues with MNREGA worker payments, Mr. Kainth assured the villagers of dedicated efforts to resolve these challenges. Advocating for enhanced citizen engagement, the villagers were encouraged to connect through the Namo App, a platform facilitating communication and feedback.

Former Sarpanch Balbir Singh Rurki played a pivotal role in organizing the meeting, emphasizing the urgency of expediting the delivery of various government schemes to underserved families. The initiative received a warm welcome from a substantial turnout of men and women from the village, endorsing the “Gaon Chalo Abhiyan” program and affirming their commitment to the vision encapsulated in the phrase, “Modi Hai Toh Mumkin Hai” (“If Modi is there, it is possible”). He said, “This strategic campaign, blending political efficacy with grassroots awareness, embodies a proactive step towards inclusive development and political empowerment within the region”.
