A tragic road accident occurred in Barmer, resulting in a collision between two cars on the National Highway. The incident, which took place near Dhorimanna Bor Toll Plaza on Monday morning around 7:30 am, claimed three lives and one person sustained serious injuries. The driver responsible for the collision fled the scene. Passersby immediately responded to the accident, rescuing the injured and deceased and taking them to Dhorimanna Hospital. The seriously injured individual has been referred to Gujarat after initial treatment. The accident is believed to have been caused by fog.

According to the police, at around 7 am on Monday, four individuals were travelling in a car towards Gujarat when a vehicle from Bor Toll collided with them about a kilometre before the toll booth. The impact of the collision was so severe that the rear part of the car separated from the rest of the vehicle. Passengers inside the car were trapped on the side of the collision.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the police, with the assistance of locals, worked to extricate all the injured occupants. Despite their efforts, three individuals were declared dead after receiving primary treatment at Dhorimanna Hospital. One seriously injured person has been referred to Deesa for further treatment. The deceased have been identified as Jitin Bhai, son of Giradhar Bhai, Vishnu Bhai (50), son of Prahlad Bhai, and Jignesh Kumar, son of Chandu Bhai Patel. The injured individual is Vishnubhai (49), son of Raman Bhai, a resident of Gandhi Nagar, Ahmedabad. All the individuals involved were friends and were travelling from the Tanot Mata Temple near Bikaner and Jaisalmer towards Gujarat on the National Highway.

Head Constable Kesharam reported that the car responsible for the collision has not been located yet. An investigation into the incident is underway, and the bodies have been placed in the mortuary, awaiting the arrival of the relatives for further procedures.
