On Wednesday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma slammed Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and accused him of competing for the first position in crimes against women and appeasement politics.
Speaking in Jodhpur, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot should stop the drama of showcasing the development and relief term to the poor and apologize. Look at the National crime record data, Rajasthan is beating every state and going forward in crimes against women…Rajasthan is competing for first position in crimes against women and Rajasthan and Karnataka are competing in appeasement issues.”
Ahead of Rajasthan polls, Assam CM Sarma urged the people of Rajasthan to vote for the BJP, saying, “The Gehlot government should exit and BJP should form the government. The people of Rajasthan should get the benefits of the good governance policies of the Modi government.”
Rajasthan is going to polls in November.
The BJP and the Congress have been forming the government in Rajasthan in alternate terms every election since 1993. The two parties have been voting each other out in every poll since then.
