After the BJP received public support in the Rajasthan Assembly elections, the time to finalise the Chief Minister in the state has become a major topic of discussion.
Amidst this uncertainty, current Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has launched a sharp attack on the BJP. Gehlot stated that even after 8 days since the results of the Assembly elections, the BJP has been unable to decide on its Chief Minister, and in an unsuccessful attempt to divert attention, it has created an issue by conducting IT raids at the residence of a Rajya Sabha MP.
Gehlot had earlier made similar allegations, stating that the IT department should immediately issue a bulletin to clarify the situation, and the law should be allowed to take its course. However, he advised the BJP to inform the public about how long they will remain in a state of confusion regarding the selection of the Chief Minister and emphasised that public welfare activities will be affected.
Earlier, on Saturday morning, former CM Ashok Gehlot, who arrived in Delhi, had launched a scathing attack on the BJP. Gehlot had said, “The BJP has not been able to announce a Chief Ministerial face even after seven days, and they level baseless allegations against us. If it took us six days, who knows what kind of allegations they would have made? However, even after seven days, the BJP has not been able to announce Chief Ministerial faces in three states.”
