Series of dialogues across time

A must see if in LA. The Afro-Atlantic Histories, is an exhibition that charts the transatlantic slave trade and its legacies in the African diaspora and is currently on at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Highlighting a series of dialogues across time, the exhibition features artworks from Africa, Europe, and the Americas of the last four centuries and re-examines histories and stories of enslavement, resilience, and the struggle for liberation from a global perspective. Maps and Margins, Enslavements and Emancipations, Everyday Lives, Rites and Rhythms, Portraits, and Resistances and Activism are some of the sections showcased with each section considering the critical impact of the African diaspora reflected in historic and contemporary artworks. The exhibition is on till September 10.
