The president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Nara Chandrababu Naidu accused the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) of engaging in an unprecedented fake voting scheme due to the fear of losing power.

Chandrababu visited TDP leader Pulivarthi Nani, who sustained severe injuries after dousing himself with kerosene in front of the local Revenue Divisional Officer’s (RDO) office, demanding the removal of fraudulent votes.

Chandrababu urged the Election Commission to investigate the irregularities in the voter lists of the Chandragiri Assembly segment. He strongly criticised the ruling YSRCP, alleging that they are involved in widespread irregularities surpassing even the audacity of dacoits. Chandrababu pointed out that the responsibility of enrolling votes lies with polling officials, but YSRCP leaders in the state are reportedly manipulating this process by deleting votes of TDP supporters.

He emphasized that the situation in Chandragiri Assembly segment serves as a case study for voter enrollment irregularities. Chandrababu cited the Election Commission’s recent displeasure with the Tirupati District Collector and the Superintendent of Police, questioning their actions to prevent recurring irregularities observed during the Lok Sabha bypolls.
Pulivarthi Nani has been actively opposing the deletion of TDP sympathizers’ votes for the past six months.

Chandrababu expressed frustration, stating that he has never witnessed such criminal activities in his lifetime, criticizing the misuse of Form-6, Form-7, and Form-8 across all 11 Assembly segments in the combined Chittoor district.

He highlighted the significant increase in the number of voters and booths, expressing surprise at the enrollment of voters aged 40 to 80 years. Chandrababu raised concerns about similar photographs associated with different names in various segments, indicating collusion between officials and ruling party leaders.

Chandrababu asserted that officials should ensure the integrity of voter lists, emphasizing the possibility of officials facing jail if found responsible for irregularities.

He declared that the people have decided to oust the YSRCP, warning that officials violating guidelines may face legal consequences under the upcoming TDP-Jana Sena combine government. Chandrababu accused YSRCP leaders of obtaining passwords and enrolling fake votes in MRO offices, expressing disappointment that the official machinery is compelled to engage in criminal activities.
He concluded by asserting that the volunteer system would be respected only if officials fulfil their duties properly.
