BJP’s National Minister Alka Gurjar has criticised the assurance of providing Rs 10,000 annually to the women of the state during Congress leader Priyanka Vadra’s rally in Jhunjhunu. She mentioned that in the previous elections, Rahul Gandhi promised the farmers of the state that their loans would be waived within 10 days, which remains unfulfilled. Over 19,000 farmers’ lands have been auctioned while they are still waiting for their loans to be waived.
She stated that Priyanka did not speak about women’s safety in her entire speech, even though her priority should have been to ensure women’s safety. She mentioned the incident where a 14-year-old girl was burned alive in Bhutti after a gang rape and said that Priyanka Gandhi should have visited the place at that time, but she was nowhere to be seen.
National Minister Alka Gurjar believes it would have been better if Priyanka Vadra had come to Rajasthan and questioned Chief Minister Gehlot about violence against women. She said, “If Priyanka Vadra wants to give any guarantee, she should assure the state’s women that there will be no violence against women during the remaining Congress rule, and women will be safe here. Women will not be attacked with acid or chemicals here, and no young woman will be shot and thrown into a well.”
