Donald Trump campaign adviser Alex Bruesewitz collapsed on stage during the 112th New York Young Republicans Club Gala at Cipriani Wall Street on December 15. The 27-year-old political strategist was introducing incoming White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino when the incident occurred.
As seen in a video shared on X, Alex Bruesewitz began slurring his words mid-speech, saying, “I’m forgetting my words.” Moments later, he froze and fell to the side, knocking over the lectern as attendees gasped. Several people rushed to assist him immediately.
Event host Raheem Kassam, a former aide to British politician Nigel Farage, also reassured the attendees that Alex Bruesewitz is okay and recovering backstage. The atmosphere was lightened when Kassamsaid, “I spoke with Alex, and he said, ‘Did I at least look cool?’ And I said, ‘You used gravity like nobody else.

Political activist Jack Posobiec later followed up with Bruesewitz‘s status, posting on Twitter that he had a minor fainting episode and was getting his systems checked. “All levels are normal,” Posobiec observed, saying, “He‘ll be just fine.”
President-elect Donald Trump, who called in for the gala, tweeted, “Alex is a tough son of a gun. He‘s a very special guy, and I know he‘ll be fine.”
Bruesewitz‘s recovery brought relief to the attendees and reminded the audience of the importance of health during the intense schedules often faced by political strategists.
