The Afghan Embassy in India has ceased operations, highlighting resource constraints and the Taliban’s failure to prioritise Afghanistan’s needs.
The embassy criticised some consulates for serving an “illegitimate regime.” Adhering to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations (1961), the embassy’s assets will transfer to Indian authorities. The embassy expressed gratitude to India for 22 years of support.
