Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted the necessity of an unwavering approach to ensure no new terrorist group emerges in India. Speaking at the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) two-day anti-terror conference, Shah emphasised dismantling the entire terrorism ecosystem.
He credited the Narendra Modi government for significant strides in countering challenges from cryptocurrencies, hawala, terror-funding, organised crime syndicates, and narco-terror links, but acknowledged more work lies ahead. Shah advocated for enhanced collaborative efforts from both national and international fronts against terrorism, emphasising innovative measures beyond mere investigation.
Highlighting the policy of zero tolerance for terrorism under Modi’s leadership, Shah stated that over the last nine years, concerted efforts between central and state agencies have notably suppressed terrorism. During the conference, outstanding NIA officials were recognized with service excellence awards.
