As Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant prepare to tie the knot on July 12, the celebrations are in full swing, beginning with a spectacular mameru ceremony.
Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani along with her mother Purnima Dalal, Akash Ambani with his wife Shloka, Anant and Radhika, and Isha Ambani with her husband Anand Piramal were all present at the event.
Videos reveal the Ambani residence adorned with an array of red, pink, and orange flowers, enhanced by golden lights that add to its splendor. A digital screen displaying caricatures of Anant and Radhika with the message “All the best” has also been installed.
Additionally, renowned music composer Anu Malik was spotted attending the ceremony.
Radhika looked stunning as always in a beautifully embroidered lehenga, accessorized with traditional jhumkas, maang-teeka, and a neckpiece during the mameru ceremony, a Gujarati wedding tradition where the bride’s maternal uncle brings sweets and gifts.
A standout feature of the Ambani wedding plans includes a chaat stall from the famous Kashi Chaat Bhandaar in Varanasi. This special touch came after Nita Ambani, founder and chairman of Reliance Foundation, personally visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and sampled various chaats before inviting the shop owner, Rakesh Keshari, to be a part of the celebrations.
In addition to their own festivities, Mukesh and Nita Ambani extended their generosity by organizing a mass wedding for the underprivileged on July 2 at Swami Vivekanand Vidyamandir in Palghar. This gesture reflects the family’s commitment to community and charity.
The wedding invitation, which recently went viral, revealed a glimpse into the extensive preparations for this high-profile event. Adhering to traditional Hindu Vedic customs, the main ceremonies will commence on Friday, July 12, with the Shubh Vivah (wedding function). Guests have been encouraged to embrace the spirit of the occasion by dressing in traditional Indian attire.
The celebrations will continue on Saturday, July 13, with Shubh Aashirwad, and culminate on Sunday, July 14, with Mangal Utsav, the grand wedding reception. For this final event, guests have been asked to dress in ‘Indian chic.’
Radhika Merchant, daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant and entrepreneur Shaila Merchant, is set to join the Ambani family, marking a union of two prominent industrialist families.
