At a recent campaign rally in Asheboro, North Carolina, Donald Trump, who had been speaking from a bulletproof glass enclosure following a recent assassination attempt, abruptly halted his speech to address a medical emergency in the crowd. During the event, Trump noticed that an attendee needed help and called out, “A doctor, please!” He expressed concern about the heat, acknowledging that many attendees had waited in the sweltering conditions to see him.

The former president paused his remarks, clapped with the audience, and then stepped out from behind the bulletproof glass, accompanied by Secret Service officials, to check on the affected individual. After confirming that the person, who was holding a water bottle, was receiving medical care, Trump returned to the stage and continued discussing national security.

A spokesperson for the Secret Service later confirmed that the incident was heat-related and that the attendee was fine. The Texas Republican Party praised Trump for his quick response, highlighting his concern for the well-being of his supporters. The rally, which was Trump’s first outdoor event since the shooting at his Pennsylvania rally last month, took place against the backdrop of the Democratic National Convention, featuring high-profile Democratic figures.
