Delhi CM Rekha Gupta to Hold First Cabinet Meeting Today After Taking Oath

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta to Hold First Cabinet Meeting Today After Taking Oath

Delhi’s newly elected Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, thumping the desk and shouting slogans of ‘Long live India’ declared that the first cabinet meeting of her government will be held this evening in the civil secretariat.

“I have assumed office at the office of the chief minister after swearing-in today morning, and this evening a meeting of the cabinet has been slated,” Gupta stated to the mediapersons.

Rekha Gupta, MLA from Shalimar Bagh, was sworn in by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena at a ceremonial event held at Ramlila Maidan. Her council of ministers were also sworn in at the event.

The ceremony was graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with senior BJP leaders, such as Union Ministers Amit Shah, JP Nadda, and Rajnath Singh, chief ministers, and deputy chief ministers from various NDA-governed states.
