AI Lectures To Pornhub: Zara Dar, PhD Student, Quits Academia And Uploads Content To Adult Sites

Zara Dar, a popular YouTuber, has recently made waves after revealing a surprising twist in her content creation journey. Dar, who previously made headlines for quitting her PhD to pursue a career as an adult content creator on OnlyFans, has now shared an unexpected shift in her STEM content strategy. She disclosed that she has been uploading the same educational videos on both YouTube and Pornhub, with one shocking revelation: she earns significantly higher ad revenue on the adult platform.

Earning More on Pornhub Than YouTube

In a candid LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter) post, Dar opened up about the financial benefits of uploading her STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) videos to Pornhub. While YouTube generates more views for her content, she revealed that the ad revenue per million views on Pornhub is nearly three times higher than on YouTube. According to Dar, she makes approximately $1,000 per million views on Pornhub compared to $340 on YouTube.

In her post, Dar shared screenshots comparing the view counts and earnings of her video on neural networks, posted four months ago. The video on YouTube has amassed nearly a million views, while the Pornhub version has only 32,000 views. Despite the lower viewership on the adult platform, the revenue disparity is evident.

LinkedIn Account Blocked After Viral Post

Dar’s viral post discussing the ad revenue comparison between YouTube and Pornhub led to an unexpected setback. She shared that her LinkedIn account was blocked after the post gained traction on the platform. “My account was unexpectedly blocked without prior notice!” Dar wrote on X, expressing frustration over the action. The post went semi-viral, with many top influencers on LinkedIn reaching out to Dar for further discussions, before her account was suddenly suspended.

Transitioning from Academia to Content Creation

This revelation comes after Dar announced in December that she had decided to leave her PhD program to focus on her adult content creation career. She cited financial viability and the freedom from the constraints of academia as key reasons for her career shift. However, Dar reassured her followers that despite her new career path, she would continue to upload STEM-related content, seeking to combine her passion for education with her content creation ambitions.

A New Path for STEM Content

Zara Dar’s decision to continue sharing STEM videos on adult platforms has sparked an interesting conversation about the monetization of educational content. While the adult entertainment industry may not be the typical platform for STEM videos, Dar’s experience sheds light on the diverse ways creators can earn income from their work.

As Dar navigates her new career path, it remains to be seen how this unconventional approach to content distribution will evolve, and whether other creators will follow in her footsteps. Regardless of the controversy, Dar’s story highlights the intersection of online platforms, revenue generation, and the creative freedom many content creators are seeking today.
