A comical incident unfolded at a Russian airport when a woman mistakenly mistook a baggage conveyor belt for a walkway. After checking in for her flight from Vladikavkaz to Moscow’s Domodedovo airport with S7 Airlines, the woman climbed onto the moving conveyor belt, inadvertently entering the luggage handling area.
A family from Vladikavkaz, Russia, went to the airport to travel. While they were at the baggage area, their grandmother thought the conveyor belt for luggage was the way to the airplane. So, she got on it and went along for a 10-minute ride.

Caught by security cameras, the woman’s journey became a viral sensation. Dressed in a yellow fur coat, pink hat, and black long shirt, she was seen climbing onto the conveyor belt while two airport staff members were distracted. As she moved along, she tried to remove a plastic curtain, mistakenly thinking there was a room behind it. However, it was just part of the baggage system’s security screening.
The woman soon slipped, landing on her backside, and was seen looking at the TV screen displaying her flight details. Moments later, she disappeared into the system and ended up behind the luggage check-in area. The staff members, who had been unaware of her actions, looked on in shock as she vanished.
According to news outlet Shot, the baggage handlers were surprised when the woman appeared instead of luggage. They quickly helped her find her way. Meanwhile, Readovka, a Kremlin-funded news outlet, reported that the woman “wanted to experience what it was like to fly in the baggage compartment” and decided to embark on an unexpected adventure.
