Guru Gobind Singh’s Prakash Parv Celebrated With Puja And Programmes

On the occasion of Prakash Parv of Guru Gobind Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari performed a special puja at Sarvatobhadra Chowk in the City Palace on Monday. During the ceremony, Diya Kumari worshipped the historical sword of Guru Govind Singh, which was placed for public darshan. She praised the sacrifice and bravery of Guru Govind Singh, calling his legacy an inspiration for all.

This historic sword, presented by Guru Gobind Singh to the ruler of Nahan (Himachal Pradesh) as a souvenir, was later brought to Jaipur by Padmini Devi. Guru Gobind Singh had spent some time in Nahan and presented the sword before his departure. Padmini Devi, originally from Nahan, brought the sword to Jaipur a few years ago, and since then, it has been preserved in the City Palace.

In Mansarovar, the Akhand Path Sahib concluded at 10 am, followed by the recitation of Sukhmani Sahib and Kirtan Diwan. The Sangat was served Guru’s langar, which continued through the day.

At the Gurdwara Guru Singh Sabha on Heera Path, programmes began at 8:30 am with langar distribution until 2 pm. In the evening, Shabad Kirtan and fireworks were scheduled from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm to conclude the celebrations.
