A video highlighting Warne’s career was played on the giant screen, sparking loud cheers from the crowd. Known for his signature floppy hat, Warne often doffed it in celebration. In a moving gesture, fans recreated his iconic action, continuing the tradition. The tribute took place at 3:50 pm, marking Warne’s Test cap number, 350.

Warne’s Legacy

Shane Warne, who passed away on March 4, 2022, due to a heart attack, is remembered for his remarkable record of 706 Test wickets. He remains one of cricket’s greatest legends and was proud of his roots in a Melbourne suburb.
