In a tragic incident on the night between Monday and Tuesday, a collision between a bus and a tractor near the Mumbai Express highway resulted in four fatalities and numerous injuries, according to police reports.
Officials stated that all injured individuals were taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
DCP Navi Mumbai Pankaj Dahane confirmed, “Four people died and several others were injured after a bus collided with a tractor and fell into a ditch near the Mumbai Express Highway. All the injured were admitted to the nearby MGM Hospital.”
The bus, which was transporting devotees from Kesar village in Dombivli to Pandharpur in Maharashtra, met with the accident en route.
The mishap caused a significant disruption in vehicular movement on the Mumbai-Lonavala lane of the Mumbai Express highway.
With the aid of a crane, the bus was eventually retrieved, and traffic flow on the lane was restored after a three-hour delay. Further details are awaited.
