Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a significant visit to the revered city of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday following his campaigning efforts in Jharkhand and Bihar for BJP candidates. This marked his first visit to the Ram Mandir after the ‘pran-pratishthan’ ceremony, adding a spiritual touch to his political engagements.

During his visit, PM Modi participated in a puja at the iconic Ram Mandir, reflecting the cultural and religious significance of the site. His presence drew attention not only from political circles but also from devotees and residents who welcomed the Prime Minister amidst a festive atmosphere.

The visit also included a grand two-kilometer-long roadshow through the city, commencing from Sugriva Fort and extending to Lata Chowk. Ayodhya, known for its historical and religious heritage, was adorned with life-size cutouts of PM Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, alongside decorations featuring deities along the streets. Floral arrangements added to the visual splendor, creating a picturesque backdrop for the event.

Security measures were intensified across Ayodhya, considering the substantial turnout of devotees and the upcoming fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections scheduled for May 20, in which Ayodhya plays a pivotal role. The influx of visitors to the temple town underscored the deep-rooted spiritual and cultural sentiments associated with Ayodhya, making PM Modi’s visit a blend of political outreach and religious reverence.

The Prime Minister’s engagement in Ayodhya resonated with the ongoing political fervor leading up to the elections, emphasizing the intersection of politics, culture, and public sentiment in India’s vibrant electoral landscape.
