New Generation Excited For Ram Mandir ! Fear or Faith or Politics?

Ask any youngster if they are excited about the new Ram Mandir, and the loud reply comes, “Jai Shree Ram”. In the last few years, the engagement of Gen Z in devotional activities has surged and today ‘Tilak’ in the forehead and going to temples are getting ‘cooler’. Receiving an invitation from the Ram Mandir for the Pran Partishtha ceremony is just like winning to any age group.

What’s exciting the Gen Z for the Ram Mandir Ceremony?

With the surge in the educated people and believers in science stood talks where parents today were questioning their kids ‘Bhakti’ (devotion), their spirituality, and their carrying of cultures to the future generation. But the case stands opposite, as Gen Z today are aware of their religious literature, and customs, and taking the case of Shree Ram, the kids look more enthusiastic toward celebrating history on Jan 22.

Social media and celebs today have played a vital role in normalizing the wearing of ’tilak’ and performing ‘puja’. Further movies like, Ram -Setu, OMG, OMG-2, PK, Kedarnath, Asur, Aadipurush, etc played a positive role in spreading awareness in the generation.

Dialogues of the film ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kafi Hai’ from Mahabharat amid the court hearing, just fit the scenario. Also the song from the recent troublemaker film “Adipurush” has set trends -“Ram Siya Ram”.

Also the songs such as ‘Keejo kesari ke laal, Ram aayenge, Bharat ka baccha baccha, etc are on trend and keep people energized along the day.

Is Politics Playing Any Role?

In a decade after the BJP has taken over the throne, the oppositions stand on a regular claim of BJP trying to turn India to a Hindu Country. Well no doubt that it is under the BJP government that the people are able to witness the return of Lord Ram in Ayodhya again.
The city Ayodhya today is painted in ‘Bhagwa’ orange which is again the color of BJP but also the color of Lord Hanuman.
Several celebrities have received invitation from Ram Mandir Trust to witness the Pran Prathishtha ceremony on Jan 22  and many wished to visit but the Prime Minister Narendra Modi have urged the people of India and abroad to wait until Jan 22, to avoid crowd and have a safe and hustle free visit.
Meanwhile, it has been witnessed that BJP uses ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ several times to counter their point. Months back there were debates on the removal of loudspeakers from the mosque or play Hanuman Chalisa too in loudspeaker. Knowingly or unknowingly, the party has used Lord Hanuman as their party tool.
Is Fear a Role?

Well, there are actual historical imprints and archeological proofs of Ramayana and Mahabharata having existed in the real world. Ramayana is the real humanitarian journey, as no power or magic was used to save life, save Maa Sita, or rule over Ayodhya. The mystery of Ram Setu Bridge is the greatest example to witness the story.

Meanwhile, majority of the Gen Z prefer to separate from the religious issues that leads to politics. Today the generation believes that visiting Mandir (temple) is just visiting peace.

Considering to several saints, they believe that this is Kalyug and this is the time where maximum of the people will be melted in devotion.

Well, if it is the faith, fear or unity in Hinduism? If it is for good it has nothing to worry about.
