A drug smuggler named Satosh Kumar alias Pagla Bihari was apprehended by the Anti Narcotics Cell, and 21 kg of ganja, valued at Rs 3.15 lakh, was seized from his possession. ACP Crime Arvind Kamboj informed that the arrest was made based on undisclosed information.
The Anti Narcotics Cell, led by Incharge Bhim Singh, acted on a tip about Santosh Kumar alias Pagla Bihari from village Kudanwala, Punjab, supplying large quantities of ganja in Panchkula and nearby areas.
The police set up a blockade towards Barwala, resulting in the arrest of the accused. Satosh Kumar claimed his name and address as Pagla Bihari Vasi, residing in village Gokhali Nagar, Bishanpura police station, Ballia district, Begu Sarai, Bihar, and a tenant in village Kudawala, police station Dera Bassi, district Mohali, Punjab. The NDPS Nodal Officer Ajay Kumar conducted a search and found 21 kg 300 grams of ganja in a white bag. The accused will be presented in court, and efforts will be made to secure remand for further investigation and apprehension of other individuals involved in the case.
