With a few months left in parliamentary elections, all parties are brainstorming every possible strategy to woo the voters assessing the political mileage. Apart from this, the ruling BJP and the main opposition Congress parties are on toes to strengthen the organizational setup to get a shot in the arm. Following the completion of tenure of several office bearers, the BJP is believed to come up with the organizational appointment soon ahead of forthcoming polls.
It is pertinent to mention In this series, the ruling BJP had come with a major change in the organization setup on 27 October replacing OP Dhankar with newly appointed state president Naib Saini who is an MP from Kurukshetra parliamentary seat and belongs to the OBC community. Following the completion of the tenure of three General secretaries Pawan Saini, Vedpal and Mohanlal Badoli, It is expected that soon there will be a massive change in the organization. One of the party stalwarts said on anonymity that keeping in view all political equations, the party high command may also replace several district party presidents with new faces.
Apart from this, the Congress, a devided house in the state, has failed to come up with organization appointments in Haryana adding to the woes of the party high command to some extent. In wake of this, everyone is eyeing the prolonged organizational appointments in the party. During a press conference held last month, the party state president Uday Bhan had assured to make much awaited appointments. Despite witnessing the tenure of many presidents and in-charges in the last several years, the party could not succeed in appointing or establishing organizational appointments in the state in the last 9 years and in continuation to aforesaid that it has come to light that the party is likely to make organizational appointments But all this is not going to be a cakewalk as the widened rift among the party stalwarts continues to prevail.
Following the fiasco in Lok Sabha and Assembly elections held in 2014, many party stalwarts were given the responsibility of president and in-charge of Haryana Congress but the situation did not change. Besides, the tug of war was witnessed among the party bigwigs many times in the meetings in front of the in-charge and the supporters. After all this, the party high command was seen in the role of a silent spectator in a bid to maintain balance in the party.
Due to the infighting in the party witnessed the resignation of the former state party president Ashok Tanwar and Kumari Selea in 2014 and 2019 respectively. Following the defeat in elections, many veterans have been in charge of Haryana; no one could succeed, bringing the discord among the party leaders to an end in Haryana. In Haryana, Congress has changed four in-charges in the last four years. Despite this, the infighting among the stalwarts of Haryana Congress did not end.
