The Education Directorate in Panchkula headquarters summoned 72 JBT (Junior Basic Training) teachers recruited during Haryana’s former Hooda government for verification on Friday. Following the scientific examination of the HTET (Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test) OMR sheets of FSL (Forensic Science Lab) and FCRB (Forensic Science Research and Standards Bureau), there were discrepancies in the data of these primary teachers.
The Joint Committee of Haryana Staff Selection Commission and the Department of Elementary Education had repeatedly requested physical verification for these teachers, yet the issue remained unresolved.
Under the advertisements released by the Department of Elementary Education in 2009 and 2012, all selected teachers are undergoing physical verification due to discrepancies found in their HTET OMR sheets.
In 2009 and 2012, 1207 primary teachers were recruited. A considerable number of selected teachers in Madhuban’s Forensic Lab presented various irregularities in their OMR sheets, prompting the government to decide on their physical verification. The process commenced in August, and upon completion, the joint committee will submit its report to the government, guiding any decision regarding the employment of these teachers with questionable records.
43 teachers belong to the 2009 batch, and 29 are from the 2012 batch. The Director of Elementary Education instructed all district Elementary Education Officers to ensure the presence of JBT teachers, including those from the 2009 and 2012 batches, with their Aadhaar cards or other ID proofs at headquarters by 9:30 AM on Friday.District officers were advised to inform the respective district’s Elementary Education Officer if any teacher has been transferred to another district.
