The residents of the department of Nuclear Medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh under the mentorship of Prof. B.R. Mittal brought laurels to
the institute by winning all the prestigious awards during the 21 st Annual Conference of Association of Nuclear Medicine Physicians of India (AMPICON 2023) held at Faridabad from 29th September to 01st October 2023. The Nuclear medicine physicians from all over the country attended the conference. The events included lectures from eminent national and international speakers, panel discussions, a quiz competition titled “Masterminds”, oral and poster presentations of original research work. Dr. Raza Abbas Mahdi won the Dr. (Maj Gen) N Lakshmipathi best oral paper award for original research work, while Dr. Srinivas Ananth Kumar won the best poster award. In the quiz, a total of 11 teams representing various prestigious institutions of the country participated, out of which the team of junior residents from PGIMER,Chandigarh, comprising Dr. Srinivas Ananth Kumar, Dr. Raza Abbas Mahdi and Dr. Komalpreet won the first prize. Dr. Mittal informed that The next year’s conference is scheduled to be held in PGIMER, Chandigarh.
