In a compassionate and forward-thinking move, the Mayor of Chandigarh, Sh. Anup Gupta and Anindita Mitra, IAS Commissioner, MCC, today handed over appointment letters to 30 dependents of deceased Safaikaramcharis on an outsourced basis.
Recognizing the critical need for timely support to the families of deceased Safaikaramcharis, MCC has taken a bold step to provide employment opportunities on an outsourced basis. This move aims to alleviate the financial hardships faced by these families due to the loss of their primary breadwinners.
The Mayor expressed deep gratitude to the Safaikaramcharis for their invaluable contribution to the cleanliness and sanitation of Chandigarh. He underscored that their tireless efforts often go unnoticed but are essential for the well-being of the city’s residents. The decision to offer immediate relief to their dependents through outsourced appointments demonstrates the administration’s commitment to their welfare.
