AJMER: In a significant turn of events, notorious gangster Dhan Singh, facing a slew of criminal charges, including multiple murders, dacoities, and assaults, surrendered in the Ajmer court, yesterday. During his surrender, he claimed that there was a conspiracy to stage an encounter against him, suggesting political animosity as the reason. Singh’s lawyer, Gurupreetsingh Sodhi, revealed that the surrender was made in connection with the recent Kekri incident, where threats of an encounter were looming.
