A significant spiritual event unfolded as 801 sacred ‘Kalash,’ imbued with the divine blessings of Lord Rama, embarked on a journey from the revered Ram Temple in Ayodhya to homes across Jammu and Kashmir. This historic initiative, led by the Vishav Hindu Parishad, seeks to unify hearts and households in the spiritual embrace of Lord Rama’s blessings, culminating in the grand inauguration of the Ram Temple on January 22.
Organised by the Vishav Hindu Parishad, the sacred ‘Kalash’ carrying the essence of Lord Rama’s blessings will traverse different parts of Jammu and Kashmir, extending invitations to every family for the momentous occasion. Following a special Puja ceremony in Jammu, representatives from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Vishav Hindu Parishad participated, sanctifying the sacred ‘Kalash,’ known as Pujit Akshat Kalash. These ‘Kalash’ include rice and Haldi, each element holding significant religious importance.
Announcing the initiative, Vishav Hindu Parishad J&K President Rajesh Gupta emphasised the commencement of invitations to Hindus residing in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. This launch followed a Puja ceremony and religious chants dedicated to Bhagwan Ram. “The imminent arrival of the Pujit Akshat has ignited fervent anticipation and profound reverence among our devout followers, marking the symbolic countdown to the sacred commemoration of the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya,” he added.
Representing RSS in Jammu and Kashmir, Parshotam Kumar Dadhichi highlighted the historical journey of the struggle for the Ram Temple, dating back to the first Hindu Sammelan held in Jammu and Kashmir in March 1981. Kiran Wattal, a participant in the Puja, expressed the symbolic significance of the ‘Pujit Akshat,’ emphasising its role as a revered invitation extended to every household. This auspicious gesture carries profound significance, beckoning locals to join the historic consecration ceremony (Pran Pratishta) of the Ram temple on January 22, 2023, in Ayodhya. The holy pilgrimage will continue, culminating in the momentous inauguration.
