In Rajasthan, nearly 75,000 allotment letters are stuck under the campaign between the administration in urban areas and the administration in villages. People are going around in circles with the local bodies and JDA. However, so far, due to the election code of conduct, the allotments were not being distributed, referencing the election law.
Now, although the election code of conduct has been lifted, Acting Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s photo is on the allotment letters. In this situation, officials associated with the local bodies are waiting for guidance from the new government. Consequently, applicants may have to wait for about 15 more days for the allotment letters.
It is said that the allotment letters were fully prepared, and only distribution was left to be done. However, in the meantime, the election code of conduct came into effect. Now, due to the uncertainty created by the photo of the Acting CM Ashok Gehlot, it is unclear whether these allotments will be distributed or not. Now, people are running around the local bodies to get allotments, but they are not getting a clear answer at the moment.

Congress government extended the campaign period
It is worth noting that the new government will now decide on various concessions, including allotting land at 501 rupees. However, the Congress government had extended the campaign period until December 31, 2024, before the implementation of the election code of conduct. But now, referring to the financial situation, the new government can make some changes in these concessions.
