After their car collided with a truck early on Thursday morning in the Sangrur district near Mehlan Chowk, at least six people—including a child—were discovered dead. The incident happened early in the morning, at 2:00 am, close to Mehlan Chowk in Sunam Taluk of Sangrur district, according to Punjab police. The six travelers were making their way back after making their respects at Baba Haider Sheikh’s Dargah in Malerkotla.” According to police, the accident happened when the vehicle they were in attempted to pass a truck close to Mehlan Chowk in the Sunam Taluk of the Sangrur district and collided with another truck that was approaching from the other direction.
