The lifeless body of 25-year-old Satish Bairwa was discovered on Monday morning inside an empty elevator cabin at a city mall near Akshay Patra on Jagatpura Road. Satish had attended a New Year’s Eve party on the eighth floor of the mall the previous night, leading to suspicions of foul play by his grieving family.
Authorities have identified the deceased as Satish Bairwa, and his body has been placed in the mortuary of MGH Hospital. A post-mortem will be conducted by a medical board to ascertain the cause of death. A police official confirmed, “The investigation is currently underway to determine whether the death was intentional or accidental.”
According to family members, Satish celebrated New Year’s Eve with friends on the eighth floor of the mall. The festivities extended into the late night, and his friends were unaware of his absence until the next morning. Concerned, they retraced their steps and discovered Satish’s lifeless body. The family was immediately notified, and they rushed to the scene.
Upon receiving the information, the police arrived, and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) collected evidence from the spot. Satish’s body was found in the basement inside the elevator cabin, prompting family members to suspect foul play, suggesting he may have been pushed to his death. Despite a comprehensive search on every floor, the police did not find any evidence at the scene. Notably, the organizer of the party is currently missing after the incident.
A police official commented, “The search is underway, and the police are determined to uncover the facts surrounding the incident.” The mysterious circumstances of Satish Bairwa’s death continue to raise questions, leaving investigators and family members anxiously awaiting the results of the ongoing investigation.
