Ten-year-old spiritual speaker and content creator Abhinav Arora has addressed the backlash from a video showing him being reprimanded by Swami Rambhadracharya. He downplayed the incident, asserting that being scolded by his guru should not be a matter of national concern.
Background of the Controversy
The uproar originated from a video in which Abhinav is seen singing bhajans and dancing alongside Swami Rambhadracharya at a religious event. The spiritual leader was recorded instructing Arora to step down from the stage, stating, “Aap pehle neeche jaao. Inko kaho neeche jaane ke liye (Please step down. Maintain decorum).” This request was repeated multiple times as Arora continued his performance.

In a subsequent press conference, Swami Rambhadracharya labeled Arora a “foolish child,” commenting, “Itna murkh ladka hai wo. Wo kehta hai ki Krishna uske sath padhta hai… bhagwan kya uske sath padenge? Maine to Vrindavan mai bhi usko danta tha (He is a foolish boy. He claims that Lord Krishna studies with him… Will God study with him? I had scolded him in Vrindavan too).”
Abhinav Arora’s Reaction
In response to the criticism stemming from the viral video, Arora clarified that the footage is not recent. “The video is being portrayed as a recent one from Pratapganj. That is wrong. The video is around a year or a year-and-a-half old; it’s from Vrindavan,” the self-styled ‘Bal Sant’ explained.
He asked viewers, “Have you never been scolded by your parents? Have you never been scolded by your guru? Even if such a big guru like Swami Rambhadracharya scolded me, why is it being made the nation’s biggest news story?” He further mentioned, “In fact, no one has mentioned how Jagadguru Ramanandacharya also called me to his room afterwards and blessed me.”

Arora also addressed comments regarding his education, as many viewers suggested he should be in school instead of attending religious events. He affirmed, “I do go to school. However, it has reached such a stage today, I have been trolled so much that I have not been able to go to school.” He added, “My sister has also not been able to go to school because of me.”
Recently, Arora’s claims of being a spiritual orator have faced scrutiny, with some accusing his parents of exploiting him.
