A joint team from Police Station Sector-3, Chandigarh, and District Crime Cell Sector-24, Chandigarh, successfully apprehended a youth, identified as Kashi Singh alias Harry, resident of village Jakhepal Nogwan, Distt. Patiala, Punjab, for his involvement in a firing incident in Sector 5. Another suspect, Gurvinder Singh alias Ladi, had already been arrested in connection with the case.
The incident had caused panic outside the residence of a businessman, prompting Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Sector-5, to file a complaint at Police Station 3. According to the complaint, the businessman heard gunfire outside his house around 4:14 am on January 19, 2024, and also noted the sound of a motorcycle. In the morning, he discovered empty cartridges in the alley behind his house.
In response, separate teams from Police Station-3, Chandigarh, and District Crime Cell were formed to apprehend the suspects. After thorough inspection, investigation of the crime scene, and collecting information from various sources and CCTV footage, the team successfully arrested Kashi Singh alias Harry.
