On October 31, Srinagar’s Lal Chowk witnessed its first grand Diwali celebration, drawing hundreds of locals and tourists who gathered to light diyas in honor of the festival of lights. A strong security presence was established in the area to facilitate the festivities.

However, amidst the joyous atmosphere, a young influencer from Kashmir voiced his displeasure regarding the display of Hindu idols and Diwali celebrations in Lal Chowk, a historic and central part of the city. The influencer, who has a considerable online following, expressed his disappointment at encountering numerous Hindu symbols during the celebration.

He shared, “I was getting bored at home. So, I came outside but my mood again became off when I saw so many Hindu idols in Kashmir.” His candid remarks reflected a personal discontent regarding the visible prominence of Hindu community traditions during the festivities. He encouraged viewers to share his video, saying, “Please share my video and help make it go viral,” highlighting his intention to amplify his message.
