Halloween at the White House took an amusing turn this year when two children came dressed as Donald Trump and Melania Trump and went up to the US President and First Lady, respectively, leaving everyone smiling.
US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump greeted trick-or-treaters and handed out sweets for about an hour during the annual White House Halloween bash. The South Portico was decorated as families stopped by for the festive evening Thursday with pumpkins, autumn leaves, and other seasonal accents.
Among the many costumes, from Hogwarts robes to fairy-tale dresses and dragons, two little guests stood out. Dressed as Donald and Melania themselves, the children approached the First Couple to the amazement of onlookers.

A boy, also in a red cap similar to Trump's campaign hat, exchanged a few words with the president before being given a high-five. The two then took photographs with the couple.

The rest of the evening followed in the same vein. The US Air Force Strolling Strings performed Halloween favorites, including Michael Jackson's Thriller and tunes from Game of Thrones and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Meanwhile, guests walked the decorated steps of the South Portico that had been lined with pumpkins and sheaves of wheat.
For the night, President Trump stuck to his signature look: a navy suit, white shirt, red tie, and red "USA 45-47" baseball cap. Melania wore a well-tailored, military-style wool coat in earthy tones and belted at the waist, and heels. Her hair cascaded in soft curls, rounding off the polished autumn look.
