US President Donald Trump has stirred controversy after claiming that he has settled six wars within six months. He claimed that he even prevented a nuclear war.
The statement was made on Truth Social just hours after his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Oval Office on Monday, August 18, 2025.
Trump's remarks also coincide with his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the view of the prolonged Russia-Ukraine war. He portrays himself as a global peace-maker.
“I’ve settled 6 Wars in 6 months, one of them a possible Nuclear disaster… Despite all of my lightweight and very jealous critics, I’ll get it done — I always do!!!” he wrote.
